On 22 and 23 October 2024, the EUIPO Intellectual Property (IP) in Education Network held its second meeting of the year, this time online. The Network is composed of representatives from EU Ministries of Education, IP offices and other relevant stakeholders.
The educational programme “Copyright and Related Rights”, approved by the IEP, is addressed to teachers and pupils of primary education. The programme was created by a team of teachers in collaboration with the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO).

The presentation of the new work “Copyright Law – Interpretation of the provisions of Laws 4961/2022 and 4996/2022” on the changes in copyright legislation in Greece was successfully held. The work is edited by Konstantinos Christodoulou, Panagiotis Tsiris, and Maria-Daphne Papadopoulou.

The EU recently launched two public consultations. The first concerns counterfeit products, as well as the piracy watchlist.
The study by the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) on the perception and awareness of EU citizens showed that 12% of EU citizens accessed or “downloaded” content from illegal sources to watch sports and bought, also, imitation sports equipment.
On May 23, 2024, the European Commission with Executive Decision 2024/1432 officially announced the aforementioned legal entity based in Brussels.
The Workshop aims to promote the understanding of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) options for the resolution of intellectual property (IP) and technology disputes.
