On Thursday, February 27, 2025, HCO in collaboration with the Regional Network “Film Education,” held an online seminar for the training of the network’s member educators.In the seminar, Mrs. Maria G. Sinanidou, Lawyer, Scientific Associate of HCO, presented to the educators the basic principles of copyright and the exceptions applicable for educational purposes. Additionally, methods for the legal use of content from the internet were discussed, and the Skill Labs and Educational Program designed by HCO for primary education were presented.
The “Film Education” Network was founded in 2017 at the Directorate of Primary Education of Eastern Thessaloniki. The main purpose of the Network is to train educators in film education topics and to explore the possibilities of its practical application in the school environment. During the 2022-23 school year, the network was transformed into the Regional Thematic Network of the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia, expanding mainly into the Directorates of Western Thessaloniki, Pella, and Pieria.
The seminar was attended by 100 educators.
