On Thursday, February 27, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Industrial Property Organization (OBI) and the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO). The Memorandum was signed at OBI’s offices in Marousi.
The Director General of OBI, Mr. Panagiotis Kanellopoulos, welcomed the representatives of HCO and emphasized the “friendly kinship” and the long-standing cooperation between the two organizations. On behalf of the HCO, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Emeritus Professor Mr. Panagiotis Tsiris, highlighted the significance of the cooperation, stressing the commitment to joint actions and programs.
Ms. Daphne Papadopoulou, Acting Director of HCO, noted that the memorandum seals a long-term collaboration between the two organizations and prepares the ground for further development.
The memorandum of cooperation between HCO and OBI includes joint actions such as:
- Organization of scientific conferences and events on intellectual property issues.
- Participation of staff members in lectures and scientific activities of both organizations.
- Research projects serving their strategic goals.
- Exchange of information, expertise, and best practices.
- Submission of joint proposals for European research programs.
- Updating websites and social media with activities from the collaboration.
- Exchange of informational materials and exploration of new fields of cooperation.
The collaboration aims to enhance the partnership within the framework of national policy on intellectual property.
