Visit and speech of Acting Director of the HCO at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens

In the context of the memorandum of cooperation between the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) and the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) with the aim of strengthening the ties between them, as well as the development of joint actions and synergies, a visit to the Athens Law School took place on October 4, 2022 of the acting Director of HCO Ms. Maria Daphne Papadopoulou, who participated in the first course “Copyright Law” with Professor Mr. K. Christodoulou and presented the HCO, as well as Copyright Law as an object of public interest to the undergraduate students.

The Audiovisual Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA) recently presented a study on malware and online piracy of audiovisual content and the risks to consumers. The evidence presented shows that the installation of malware on the devices of consumers involved in online piracy of audiovisual content is targeted and can lead to identity theft and fraud.
