The study “EU enforcement of intellectual property rights: results at the EU border and in the EU internal market, 2021” has been produced from data on arrests at the EU border reported by the customs authorities of all Member States, as well as data on arrests within the internal market reported by the enforcement authorities of the Member States.

The HCO is organizing a scientific event on the topic “Digital Services Act and Copyright – A new balance in Digital Services” that will take place on Tuesday, 24 January 2023, at the Athens Bar Association’ s Event Hall (16:00 – 19:00).
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in collaboration with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organization, the competent body in Greece for the granting of patents and the registration of trademarks and designs, organized a seminar on December 1, 2022 on the enforcement of intellectual property rights (IPR).
On Wednesday, November 23 2022, the HCO made the third scheduled visit to the 2nd Experimental High School of Athens for the school year 2022-2023.
The law 4996/2022 of the Ministry of Culture and Sports entitled: “Determination of rules on the exercise of copyright and related rights applicable to certain online broadcasters’ transmissions and retransmissions of television and radio programmes, maintaining a high level of protection of copyright and related rights in the digital single market and the right of public lending and reproduction of additional copies by non-profit libraries or archives; Amendment of Law No. 2121/1993 and Law No. 4481/2017 – Incorporation of Directives (EU) 2019/789, (EU) 2019/790 and 2006/115/EC”.

On Monday, November 14, 2022, the HCO continued its cooperation with the 2nd Experimental High School of Athens for the year 2022-2023, as it carried out the second of three scheduled visits to the school.
On Friday, November 4, 2022, the HCO started its cooperation with the 2nd Experimental High School of Athens for the year 2022-2023, as it carried out the first of four scheduled visits to the school.
The HCO organized a scientific event on the topic “Justice and Copyright” on Friday, 21 October 2022, at the Athens Bar Association’ s Event Hall.
On October 21-22, 2022, the 14th International Conference of the European Intellectual Property Teachers’ Network (EIPTN) took place at the G. Karabatzos auditorium of Harokopio University. On the 21st of October Ms Maria Daphne Papadopoulou, acting Director of the HCO, participated in the conference with a speech and presented HCO’s actions for Primary Education.
