The Hellenic Copyright Organization will participate in the 19th Thessaloniki International Book Fair (4-7 May 2023) with an exhibition stand and speeches on the issue of “Copyright and Books”.
The event will take place on Friday, 5 May in the “ALKI ZEI” hall (pavilion 13), 13.00 – 14.00.
The specific topics to be developed are:
- Copyright law and books

- Creation and Artificial Intelligence: basic principles and contemporary issues in copyright law

- Recent changes in copyright law and the new exceptions (teaching, text and data mining, out of commerce works, public lending).

In addition, at the HCO stand (pavilion 15, stand 11d), HCO representatives will provide the public with information and printed material on the HCO and copyright. Much of the material available is aimed at teachers and students in primary and secondary education.
The Thessaloniki International Book Fair this year celebrates American literature. The Fair is organized by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture in cooperation with Greek publishers, TIF – HELEXPO, the Region of Central Macedonia and the Municipality of Thessaloniki, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
