The Hellenic Copyright Organization, in the context of modernization and faster and safer processing of the sending of the solemn declarations of par. 4 article 18 of Law 2121/1993, optimized the relevant procedure as follows:
From now on, the solemn declarations will not be sent to the email address ‘info@opi.gr‘ but instead to the following link created by OPI exclusively for this purpose.
On 14.09.2022 and in the framework of the European Project, EU Support to Intellectual Property Rights in Kosovo (IPR Kosovo – EuropeAid/139657/DH/SER/XK), representatives of the Industrial Property Organization, the Copyright Office and the Kosovo Customs visited the HCO offices.
Scientific Event: “Copyright and Justice ”
The HCO is organizing a scientific event on the topic “Justice and Copyright”, taking into account that the field of copyright is a rapidly evolving area of law and of particular importance for the legal world, including the judiciary.
The HCO and the School of Law of the University of Athens, aiming at closer cooperation and strengthening the ties between the two institutions, proceeded on the 13.09.2022 to the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The HCO has successfully completed the project RESPECT. RESPECT aimed to raise awareness among young people aged 15-24 of the harm caused by online piracy, to reduce the downloading of digital content from illegal sources and to encourage the use of legal alternatives.

The HCO implements an EU project on the protection of copyright and related rights and the use of legal sources of content online.
The Hellenic Copyright Organization (OPI) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, with which OPI became the authorized body of our country (“national contributor”) to the important initiative entitled “WIPO ALERT”, which is part of the WIPO “Building Respect for Intellectual Property Database Project”.
