EUIPO – European Commission collaboration on the study “Enforcement of intellectual property rights in the EU: results at the EU borders and in the EU internal market, 2021”.

The study “EU enforcement of intellectual property rights: results at the EU border and in the EU internal market, 2021” has been produced from data on arrests at the EU border reported by the customs authorities of all Member States, as well as data on arrests within the internal market reported by the enforcement authorities of the Member States.

The study was published by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and aims to provide useful information to support the analysis of IPR infringements in the EU and the development of appropriate countermeasures.
