On 6 March 2026, the House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee published its report titled “AI, Copyright and the Creative Industries.” The report stresses that the government must protect the interests of British creators and strengthen the existing legal framework regarding AI and copyright.

A scientific event titled “Copyright in the Digital Age” was successfully held on Thursday, 5 March 2026, for the second consecutive year, at the “Sakis Karagiorgas II” Auditorium of Panteion University. The event was organized by staff members of the Hellenic Copyright Organization within the framework of the Memorandum of Educational Cooperation between the HCO and Panteion University.
On Wednesday, 4 March 2026, the HCO delivered an online training seminar for the staff of the Directorate of Culture and Tourism Development of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. The seminar addressed key copyright issues arising in the planning and implementation of cultural activities and events. During the session, the applicable legal framework, core concepts of copyright law, and practical aspects related to the use of literary and artistic works in the context of public cultural activities were presented.
The Hellenic Copyright Organization successfully participated in the 9th Innovation & Technology Transfer Exhibition – Patras IQ 2026, which took place on 27, 28 February and 1 March 2026 at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras. The exhibition, established in 2012, has become a leading institution for promoting research, innovation and the connection between academia, entrepreneurship and society.
