On Tuesday, the 21^st of January 2020, the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) and the Directorate of Secondary Education of Magnesia organized an educational seminar with the title “Copyright and Related Rights: Applications in Education and New Technologies”.

On 23/12/2019 by order of the President of the D’ Section of the Council of State the above mentioned Ministerial Decision (ΥΠΠΟΑ/ΓΡΥΠ/647357/13799) has been suspended as far as the temporary revocation of its operating license as a collective management organization is concerned until the issuing of the decision of the Council of State’s Suspension Committee.

On October 22, 2019, following previous meetings, a meeting has taken place upon relevant request, under the aegis of the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) in its premises, between the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and representatives of the Collective Management Organizations «DIAS», «ERMIAS», «IRIDANOS» and «TILEOPTIKA DIKAIOMATA» , in the presence of the Director of HCO and the President of HCO regarding issues of public performance in the framework of the action of the aforementioned.

We have the pleasure to inform you that on Friday October 11^th, 2019, a contract was signed between the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), with subject matter the implementation of the European programme entitled “Educating youngsters and secondary school teachers about copyright in Greece and Cyprus”. The programme was selected for funding by the EUIPO following the submission of the HCO’s proposal under Lot “Reaching children and teachers/future teachers through educational activities in academic and non-academic learning environments”.
