The study is the first of its kind globally to estimate the economic impact of artificial intelligence on the music and audiovisual sector, and estimates that artificial intelligence will add additional wealth to technology companies, while significantly jeopardizing the income of creators over the next five years.
This study combines qualitative and quantitative research and also provides estimates of the revenues of AI tools and services that can serve as a basis for calculating remuneration systems for creators. The historical data and forecast assumptions are based on market data and extensive contacts with experts, such as Collective Management Organizations, creators, technology operators, producers, publishers, institutional actors of representative industries and public entities. The main aim of the study is to protect the rights of creators and implement transparency rules by policymakers.
