Copyright FAQs help inform all european consumers about what is legal and what is not when using copyrighted content, such as music or movies, online.
The EUIPO website has answers for teachers and consumers from all member states in their national language as well as in English.
For teachers: The copyright FAQ for teachers provides both EU teachers and students with clear and accurate information about which use of copyrighted content is permitted in education. An update to the frequently asked questions for teachers is expected to take place soon.
For consumers: This initiative follows in the footsteps of the successful Consumer Copyright FAQ, which aims to help EU consumers learn more about what is and isn’t legal when using content that is protected by copyright – such as music or film – on the internet. The FAQ was updated in June 2023.
