From EKT’s side, Director Dr. Kyriakos Tolias stated:
“This is a landmark collaboration connecting two vital fields: intellectual property and data. At EKT, we take a holistic approach to every issue — technological, legal, and societal. Artificial intelligence and data utilization are closely linked to the need to protect intellectual property, especially in the realms of science and culture. Here, HCO’s contribution is essential. We offer data and technical expertise, while HCO brings in-depth knowledge of the legal framework and rights management. This synergy will benefit everyone.”
Key Areas of Collaboration Include:
-
Exchange of expertise and information on topics of mutual interest.
-
Joint initiatives such as workshops, seminars, and awareness-raising events.
-
Identification and pursuit of funding opportunities for joint actions.
-
Exploration of new areas for cooperation and joint participation in national and European programs or cooperation networks aligned with the organizations’ goals.
This partnership aims to strengthen the institutional role and societal contribution of both organizations through innovative initiatives in the fields of intellectual property, documentation, and data exploitation.
