On Thursday, November 21, 2024, the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) participated in a training workshop for 5th grade teachers organized by the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) of A’ Athens (12th place).
In the workshop entitled “Development and cultivation of skills in the 5th grade”, Mrs. Maria G. Sinanidou, Lawyer and HCO Scientific Associate presented to the teachers the basic principles of copyright, the limitations and exceptions in relation to education, the importance of protecting copyright and avoiding actions that infringe it, with emphasis on the digital environment.
In addition, the Skills Workshops “Copyright in our lives” created by the HCO for the 5th grade were presented, while Ms. Georgia Polizoi, Education Advisor of the DPE A’ Athens organized and coordinated an experiential activity based on one of these workshops.
