Participation of HCO in the 1st International Conference of Greek Orthodox Psaltic Art and Byzantine Music Community “Psaltiki 2.0”

On Friday, 5th of November the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) participated in the 1st International Conference of Greek Orthodox Psaltic Art and Byzantine Music Community “Psaltiki 2.0”. The conference was organized by the Hellenic Federation of Chanters’ Associations (HEFECA) and the Trikala Chanters Association and was held at the Municipality of Trikala from Wednesday 3rd to Saturday 6th November 2021.

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is launching its first Young Experts Program (YEP)

This is a two year program targeted at young (aged 35 years and under) and promising talent. It is designed to train them in the technical and policy aspects of IP, as well as nurture their ability to take on administrative and leadership roles. Through this program, participants will be groomed to contribute to the development of the innovation and creative ecosystems of their respective countries and regions, and eventually as the future global leaders of IP.

26 April 2021: World Intellectual Property Day – Online visit from ELSA Thessaloniki

On Monday 26th of April, on occasion of the celebration of the World Intellectual Property Day, the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Thessaloniki paid an online visit to the offices of the HCO. The visit took place in the framework of the ELSA action “Lawyers @ t Work”. It was opened with a greeting from Ms. Evangelia Vagena, Director of HCO, who also referred to the aims and activities of HCO. Ms. Eva Kokkinou, Head of HCO Information Department informed the visitors about the websites maintained by HCO while Ms. Eva Moustaka, Jurist, HCO briefed the visitors on issues of piracy and the Committee for the Notification of Copyright and Related Rights Infringement on the Internet (EDPPI).
