Athens Music Week 2026 returns from May 6 to 9, with the Goethe-Institut Athen as its main venue and parallel events taking place across selected locations in Athens.
It is the largest gathering of the music industry in Southeastern Europe, featuring more than 100 activities, including presentations, panel discussions, masterclasses, workshops, networking events, concerts, and showcase performances, bringing together artists, professionals, and organizations from across the entire music ecosystem. This year’s edition focuses on the evolution of the music ecosystem in Greece and Europe, highlighting music not only as an art form, but also as a field of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
AMW 2026 is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO), with the cooperation and support of major institutional and European partners, including the Goethe-Institut Athen, ERT, Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (EKKOMED), Collective Management Organizations, as well as networks such as Music Tech Europe, the Federation of Music Conferences, and the SONIC – Interreg Europe programme. Through this collaboration, AMW strengthens dialogue around music technology, artificial intelligence, record production, music creation, education, and the international development of artists, connecting the Greek music scene with the European and global creative ecosystem.
At the same time, the four-day programme includes listening sessions, workshops on music production and audience development, as well as a masterclass by Spotify on promoting music internationally. Showcase concerts also form an important part of the event, featuring 30 artistic acts from Greece and abroad, alongside special parallel events linking music with cinema, the electronic scene, and contemporary pop production.
