On Wednesday, 4 March 2026, the HCO delivered an online training seminar for the staff of the Directorate of Culture and Tourism Development of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. The seminar addressed key copyright issues arising in the planning and implementation of cultural activities and events. During the session, the applicable legal framework, core concepts of copyright law, and practical aspects related to the use of literary and artistic works in the context of public cultural activities were presented.
The training was delivered by Ms Eva Moustaka, HCO Lawyer. It was followed by a discussion with participants, during which questions were raised on issues such as the public performance of works, the process of rights clearance when using protected content, and the role of Collective Management Organizations (CMOs).
