Seminar “Museums of the Future and Copyright: Preservation of and access to cultural heritage in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology of the European Commission (DG Connect) recently launched the program “Awareness raising on copyright for cultural heritage, educational and Research Institutions.”

The aim of the program is to improve overall understanding of copyright regulations by promoting knowledge of the EU legal framework for copyright and its practical applications, particularly in cultural heritage institutions, research institutions, and educational institutions.

The program started in January 2025 and will include 10 events across Europe. The first three took place in Latvia, Poland, and Romania, and the fourth is scheduled to take place in Greece.

We are pleased to announce that the Hellenic Copyright Organisation has been invited to co-organise the upcoming event.

The seminar, entitled “Museums of the Future and Copyright: Preservation of and access to cultural heritage in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” will take place on Tuesday, October 7, at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens and will be conducted in Greek.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of critical issues through presentations

Participants will gain a clear understanding of critical issues through presentations by experts, including the following:
