The Hellenic Copyright Organization hosted the 3rd Meeting of Supervisory Authorities of EU Member States for Collective Management Organisations (CMOs) in Athens on 2 October 2026, following the two previous meetings held in Slovenia and Hungary.
A greeting from the Minister of Culture, Ms Lina Mendoni, was delivered at the meeting. In her message, she emphasized that, in a digital environment with cross-border dimensions, close cooperation between national supervisory authorities and the exchange of good practices are essential safeguards for the protection of creators, particularly in the face of new challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
The meeting brought together representatives of supervisory authorities from 22 European countries with the aim of exchanging experiences and practices regarding the supervision of CMOs and their operations, discussing the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, and strengthening cooperation among the competent authorities.
