The HCO is participating in ONX Showcase.Athens.2026, organized by Onassis ONX, with an open day of talks, discussions, and workshops dedicated to the relationship between GenAI, intellectual property, ethics, and contemporary forms of creative production. As part of the event, Maria G. Sinanidou, Lawyer, Scientific Associate, HCO, and Accredited Mediator, will take part in the panel discussion titled “Owning Your Work in the Age of Generative Media,” on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 12:15 to 13:00.
The event is held in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and HCO, and is part of the WIPO x ONX Futures: IP in Motion program, a specialized initiative on intellectual property in the creative and audiovisual industries.
The day focuses on the role of humans in the creative process in an era where AI is increasingly used in content production. Through talks and discussions, key issues are highlighted, including the creation of works using AI tools, copyright protection, rights management, and the new challenges faced by creators and professionals in the audiovisual sector.
