New website for the European Common Data Space for Cultural Heritage

The new website of the European Common Data Space for Cultural Heritage (dataspace-culturalheritage.eu) is now live, marking an important step in enhancing access to and use of European cultural heritage.

Cultural heritage institutions can actively contribute to the data space by sharing their collections through the Europeana.eu platform. This expands the reach and visibility of cultural assets, making them accessible to a wider audience.

The data-sharing process is supported by specialized aggregator organizations, which participate in the Europeana Aggregators’ Forum, providing guidance and specialized tools. At the same time, open data practices are encouraged, facilitating the reuse of data by different user groups.

Of particular interest is the “Explore the Collections” section, which allows users to browse digital collections and serves as a valuable tool for educational and research activities, as well as promoting access to legitimate digital sources.

The new website is expected to significantly enhance collaboration, innovation, and the digital dissemination of cultural heritage across Europe.
