The Hellenic Copyright Organization (HCO) has received an invitation from the University of Patras to participate in the conference program of the 9th Innovation & Technology Transfer Exhibition – Patras IQ 2026, which will take place on February 27, 28 and March 1, 2026, at the Conference and Cultural Center of the University of Patras. The event is co-organized by the Ministries of Education, Religious Affairs & Sports and Development, the University of Patras, the Hellenic Open University, the Region of Western Greece, and the Chamber of Commerce of Achaia.
The Exhibition has been established as an institution since 2012 and contributes substantially to highlighting research, innovation, and creative knowledge, as well as linking them with entrepreneurship, production, and society. At the same time, it showcases modern applications of scientific and technological research and strengthens collaboration among the academic and research community, businesses, and institutional stakeholders.
As the competent national authority for the protection of intellectual property, the HCO recognizes the importance of initiatives that promote innovation and creativity and emphasizes the crucial role of intellectual property in safeguarding, exploiting, and ensuring the sustainable development of research and creative outputs. In this context, the HCO will participate with a presentation by lawyer and scientific associate Ms. Maria G. Sinanidou in a thematic conference session entitled “Intellectual Property and Research: Basic Principles and Artificial Intelligence”, which will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
