Visit of representatives of the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania (RTCL) to the HCO

On Tuesday 26 November 2024, representatives of the Lithuanian Broadcasting Commission visited the HCO premises where they met with representatives of the HCO. The meeting was on “National practices for the implementation of the European Commission Recommendation (EU) 2023/1018 on combating online piracy of sports and other live events”.

Memorandum of Cooperation between the HCO and the Law School of the University of Athens. Visit of students to the HCO – Internship at the HCO in the framework of the Postgraduate Program in Civil Law

On 6.11.2024, in the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the HCO and the School of Law of the University of Athens, a visit of postgraduate students under the supervision of Mr. Konstantinos Christodoulou, Professor of Law of the University of Athens, took place at the offices of the HCO. The students will carry out an internship at the HCO, as an alternative to attending a course on copyright in accordance with the Guide to the Postgraduate Programme in Civil Law at the University of Athens.

Dutch Supreme Court – Case of publication of Anne Frank’s diary

The Dutch Supreme Court has referred the case concerning the copyright of the online publication of Anne Frank’s diary to the European Court of Justice. The Anne Frank Foundation is demanding that the publication of Anne Frank’s diary manuscripts on a website be stopped or that the website be blocked for the Dutch public, including via VPN or proxy.
